PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform uniform disinfection while reducing running cost. SOLUTION: The seed disinfecting facility includes a hot water disinfection tank (1) storing hot water, and a cooling tank (10) storing cooling water. The seed disinfecting facility is configured to intermittently transfer seeds in a submerged state in the hot water disinfection tank (1) and then to intermittently transfer the seeds from the starting end side to the terminal side of the cooling tank (10). The time for transferring and stopping the seeds in the hot water disinfection tank (1) is set longer than the time for transferring the seeds in the hot water disinfection tank (1), and the time for transferring and stopping the seeds in the cooling tank (10) is set longer than the time for transferring the seeds from the starting end side to the terminal side of the cooling tank (10).
