PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root cutter for onions which is capable of automatically removing the roots of the onions completely, only by dropping the onions through a slot.SOLUTION: The root cutter includes transfer roll bodies 20 made to be able to mount the onions on an upper surface part between a pair of rolls 21, 22 to send them to the rear side, wherein each of rolls 21, 22 is composed by helically arranging separately at the periphery, helical parts (coil materials) 24 having a function of sending onions to the rear side and belt-like brush materials 25 having a function of hanging onion roots downward, and by mounting onions on the upper surface part between both the rolls 21, 22, is composed to be able to send them to rear side with the right and left coiled materials 24, 24 of each roll while hanging with the right and left brush materials 25, 25 of each roll the onion roots downward. The root cutting work is automatically performed by cutting, with root cutters 4, the roots of onions discharged from the terminal end of transfer roll bodies 20.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】玉ねぎ類を投入部から落とし込むだけで、後は自動で玉ねぎの根をきれいに切除し得るようにした玉ねぎ類の根切断機を提供する。【解決手段】一対のロール21,22間の上面部分に玉ねぎを載せて後送させ得るようにした移送ロール体20を有し、各ロール21,22は、外周に玉ねぎを後送させる機能をもつ螺旋部(コイル材)24と玉ねぎの根を下方に垂下げる機能をもつ帯状のブラシ材25とをそれぞれ螺旋状に配置して構成し、両ロール21,22間の上面部に玉ねぎを載せることで、各ロールの左右ブラシ材25,25により玉ねぎの根を垂下げながら各ロールの左右コイル材24,24により後送させ得るように構成しているとともに、移送ロール体20の終端部から排出される玉ねぎの根を根切断装置4で切断するようにしていることにより、自動で根切り作業が行えるようにしている。【選択図】 図1
