The present invention relates to a functional drink using sprout ginseng and a method for processing the same. According to the present invention, problems related to production time and cost, and bitter taste of existing red ginseng drinks can be overcome. The functional drink can be produced by treating sprout ginseng with heat extracting juice from the sprout ginseng mixing the juice with malt fermenting the mixture and refining and sterilizing the precipitate. The functional drink contains high content of saponin compared to other red ginseng drinks and has a great medical effect. It has sprout ginseng&primes unique flavor and fragrance but also another flavor and fragrance different from those of blended sprout ginseng. The functional drink of the present invention has a milder flavor and a more saponin content than those of red ginseng drinks.
