The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a functional beverage comprising the following steps: (a) manufacturing a beverage base by mixing onion powder with water； and (b) mixing the beverage base with raw materials. According to the method for manufacturing a functional beverage of the present invention, onion powder having remarkably increased content of active ingredients of the onion is manufactured, and the manufactured onion powder is mixed with the raw materials at an optimum ratio to maintain an excellent functionality of the onion while the unique taste and smell of the onion is minimized by the raw materials for beverage, thereby manufacturing a beverage which is excellent in both palatability and functionality.본 발명은, (a) 양파 분말을 물과 혼합하여 음료 베이스를 제조하는 단계； 및 (b) 상기 음료 베이스를 음료용 원료 물질과 혼합하는 단계；를 포함하는 기능성 음료의 제조방법을 제공한다.본 발명에 따른 기능성 음료의 제조방법에 따르면, 양파의 유효성분의 함량이 현저히 증가한 양파 분말을 제조하고, 제조한 양파 분말을 음료용 원료 물질과 적정 비율로 혼합하여, 양파의 우수한 기능성은 그대로 유지하면서도, 음료용 원료 물질에 의해 양파 특유의 맛과 향은 최소화되어 기호성과 기능성이 모두 우수한 기능성 음료를 제조할 수 있다.
