The invention relates to a femoral component of a total hip prosthesis used to replace the natural hip joint in persons with affections of this joint caused by arthrosis, congenital dislocation or trauma. According to the invention, the component consists of a cylindrical tail comprising three modules (A, B and C), placed in the femoral canal of the thigh-bone, where the first module (A) may rotate by 360° in relation to the second module (B) and it is fixed onto the second module (B) by means of a central screw and some teeth located on the edges of the two modules (A and B), the second module (B) is provided with a central channel which communicates with the exterior by multiple millimetric orifices and, at the outside, it is covered by a lamellar cylinder made of a memory-shape material which, at the body temperature, takes the shape of a keg which tightly fixes the tail to the bone, and the third module (C) has, on the external surface, some grooves which, together with the bone wall, form some channels wherein some broaches are introduced, and at the top, it has a central threaded channel.Invenţia se referă la o componentă femurală a unei proteze totale de şold, utilizată pentru înlocuirea articulaţiei naturale a şoldului la persoanele cu afecţiuni ale acestei articulaţii, determinate de artroze, traumatisme sau luxaţii congenitale.
