PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus capable of reducing heat transfer between a subject including a human body and a diffraction grating, compared to conventional apparatus.SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus for imaging a subject 105 includes: a diffraction grating 102 for diffracting an X-ray from an X-ray source to form an interference pattern a temperature control section for controlling the temperature of the diffraction grating and a detector for detecting an X-ray from the diffraction grating.
