PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide granular chocolate confectionery capable of bringing sufficient feeling of a center material even if a center material is small and lightweight, having a fine finish, and capable of preventing occurrence of defective goods, to provide a method for producing the granular chocolate confectionery, and to provide a coating center material suitable for producing the chocolate confectionery.

SOLUTION: This method for producing the granular chocolate confectionery comprises coating the periphery of a lightweight center material with chocolate dough. In more details, the method comprises a process of coating the center material with a crushed product of baked confectionery or puff snack, and a process of further coating the coated center material thus obtained with chocolate dough. The average particle diameter of the crushed product is <700 &mum, and the center material has at least 2 kinds of surfaces which have different adhesive property to chocolate.
