To provide a matching part structure of fishing rod and which installs a mechanism for elastically holding an insertion member such as an inlay core material ON the other inside of a rod end part of a small-diameter rod body and a rod tip part of a large-diameter rod body and easily carries out a connecting or disconnecting operation.
SOLUTION: The matching part structure forms projecting receiving parts 3C projecting toward a rod axis line direction at a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction ON the internal peripheral surface of a rod butt end part 3E of a butt upper rod 3. The projected amount of a part positioned in the interior side in the projecting receiving parts 3C is formed smaller than the projected amount of a part positioned at an opening end of the rod butt end part 3E in the projecting receiving parts 3C. The connection state between the butt upper rod 3 and a butt rod 4 is constituted by pressing the insides of a plurality of projecting receiving parts 3C against the outer peripheral surface of the inlay core material 4A of the butt rod 4.
