PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated particle in which a bioactive substance having an average particle diameter of 10 to 3000 μm is allowed to have a pH responsive eluting property while using only food materials by using an alginate.SOLUTION: In order to solve the above-mentioned subject, the present invention provides a pH responsive eluting coated granulated material having a coat layer of an alginate (A) consisting of the following alginates (A1) and (A2), on the periphery of a core (S) containing a bioactive substance, the pH responsive eluting coated granulated material having a mass ratio of the core (S)/alginate (A) of 50/50 to 97/3 and having a mean particle size of 10 to 3000 μm. Alginate (A1): an alginate in which the viscosity of 1 mass% aqueous solution at 20°C is 20 to 1000 mPa s.
