PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article and a surface liner capable of inhibiting the excretion from spreading and capable of securely capturing the excretion.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 comprises an absorber 14, a back sheet and a surface sheet 11. The contraction section of the surface sheet 11 comprises a plurality of elastic members 21 attached to the surface sheet 11 in the extended state in the front/rear direction Y and disposed at intervals in the left/right direction X, and a plurality of slit lines 22 formed between adjacent elastic members 21 on the surface sheet 11. The slit line 22 has a plurality of slit parts 24 disposed at intervals in the front/rear direction Y. As the surface sheet 11 is partly contracted in the front/rear direction Y with the contractive force of the elastic members 21, the surface sheet 11 is deformed to form three-dimensional uneven structures 13, and the slit parts 24 are opened to form a plurality of opening parts 12.
