The present invention relates to a sliced dried turmeric ginger and a method for preparing the same, and more particularly, to a sliced dried turmeric ginger prepared by removing bitterness and hotness through pretreatment of turmeric and adding saccharides such as sugars thereto, and a method for preparing the same. The preparing method of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) washing, peeling, and finely cutting turmeric (S10) (b) immersing and brewing the turmeric in a mixture solution of an aqueous vitamin C solution and an aqueous citric acid solution (S20) (c) blanching the brewed turmeric and immersing the turmeric in a sugar liquid having the same amount as the turmeric (S30) (d) heating the sugared turmeric at a temperature of 90-110°C for 5-50 minutes (S40) (e) placing the heated turmeric on a wicker tray and cooling the turmeric (S50) (f) adding at least one of sugar and a bean flour to the turmeric and then flatly spreading them (S60) and (g) drying the spread turmeric (S70). According to the present invention, there can be prepared a sliced dried turmeric ginger having no bitterness and hotness of turmeric while retaining effects of turmeric itself in relieving hangover and preventing cancers.
