PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydroponics solid medium in which a plant root can be planted at low cost with excellent workability and without hurting roots of germinated plants, and to provide seedling raising methods using the same.SOLUTION: A hydroponics solid medium 1 is employed, being characterized by having: a solid-medium material 2 which covers around the root of a germinated plant； and a pressing holding tool 10 which presses and holds the outer periphery of the solid medium material to fix the root. For example, since the solid medium material has a cut 2a formed to be capable of opening and closing centered on a remainder 2b, plant roots can be planted on the solid medium material without damaging the plant roots as much as possible, and thereby yield can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】低コストで、作業性に優れ且つ発芽した植物の根を傷付けずに植え付けることの出来る水耕栽培用固型培地及びそれを用いた育苗方法を提供する。【解決手段】発芽した植物の根の周囲を覆う固型培地材２と、当該固型培地材の外周囲を押圧保持して当該根を固定する押圧保持具１０とを備えたことを特徴とする水耕栽培用固型培地１を採用する。例えば、当該固型培地材は、残部２ｂを中心として開閉可能な切り込み２ａが形成されたものであることで、植物の根を極力傷付けることなく当該固型培地材に植え付けることができ、歩留まりの向上を図ることが出来る。【選択図】図１
