PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extract composition of a fermented food which has antihypertensive action and is useful as a functional health food or a pharmaceutical composition.SOLUTION: The invention relates to extract of a fermented food obtained by subjecting a fermented food, preferably a lyophilized material of fermented Fagopyrum vulgare, to acetone extraction； using a solid phase extraction cartridge filled up with a resin bound to a phenyl group and using formic acid-containing water as an effluent to elute the fermented Fagopyrum vulgare acetone extractables； and using a column (PFP column) filled up with a carrier bound to a pentafluorophenyl group and using formic acid- and/or methanol-containing water as a mobile phase to fractionate and purify the effluent, and to a functional health food or a pharmaceutical composition containing the extract or at least a part thereof as an active ingredient.【課題】血圧降下作用を有し、機能性健康食品あるいは医薬品組成物として有用な発酵食品抽出物を提供する。【解決手段】発酵食品、好ましくは発酵キョウバク凍結乾燥物を、アセトン抽出し、当該発酵キョウバクアセトン抽出物を、フェニル基が結合した樹脂を充填した固相抽出カートリッジを用い、溶出液として、ギ酸含有水を用いて溶出し、当該溶出物を、ペンタフルオロフェニル基が結合した担体を充填したカラム（PFPカラム）を用い、移動相として、ギ酸・メタノール含有水を用いて分画、精製して得られる発酵食品抽出物、当該抽出物または少なくともその一部を有効成分として含有する機能性健康食品あるいは医薬品組成物に関する。【選択図】なし
