PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new resveratrol derivative having anticancer activities stronger than resveratrol, ferulic acid, well-known resveratrol derivatives and luteolin, especially activities against carcinoma of oral cavity, to provide a method for efficiently and safely forming the new resveratrol derivative, to provide an anticancer agent containing the new resveratrol derivative, and to provide a food, a medicine and an unregulated drug.SOLUTION: There is provided the new resveratrol derivative formed by subjecting the resveratrol and the ferulic acid to heat treatment in the presence of a metal salt, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or ether thereof.
