PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial intervertebral implant which stabilizes a bone across a whole intervertebral space without promoting bone fusion.SOLUTION: An artificial intervertebral implant (1) includes: a first baseplate (10) having a top surface (20), a bottom surface (22), an aperture (30) extending therethrough, a metal strap (34) underlying the aperture and an articulation element (14) positioned in the aperture (30) and overlying the metal strap (34). The articulation element (14) is fixed to a first element (12) which is adjacent to a side at a distance from the first base plate (19) of the articulation element (14).
