PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in preventing extrusion and leakage of excrement such as urine.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet 11 a liquid impermeable back sheet 12 and an absorber 13 arranged between the top sheet 11 and the back sheet 12 and containing highly absorbent resin 15. The absorber has high density layers 16, made of the highly absorbent resin 15, at both edges in the longitudinal direction and/or lateral direction of the absorber 13.
