PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, even when a large amount of liquid is leaked at a time, having a significant effect of lateral leakage and attaining both of absorption performance and excellent fitting feeling.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes: a front-side liquid-permeable top sheet 200 a back-side liquid-impermeable back sheet 300 and an absorber 100 disposed between the top sheet 200 and the back sheet 300. The absorber 100 includes a front area, a urine discharge area, and a rear area, and has a pair of width-directional left/right ridge parts 120 provided at the urine discharge area of the absorber 100 and formed by overlaying.
