PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article inhibiting leak of excretory substance.SOLUTION: The absorbent article has a longitudinal direction, a width direction, and a thickness direction orthogonally crossing with one another. The absorbent article includes, in the thickness direction: a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-permeable second sheet, an absorber, and a liquid-impermeable back sheet that are sequentially superposed and a pair of compressed parts formed at both sides in the width direction by compressing the top sheet, second sheet, and absorber from the top sheet side in the thickness direction. The second sheet includes a pair of two-layered parts located at both ends in the width direction and formed by folding back both ends in the width direction, and one-layer part located at a central part in the width direction.
