PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article such as a urine absorbing pad, which is used by arranging it on an inner side of an outside wearing article such as a diaper, an underwear and a pad holder, with which a person can know that there is urination at sufficient time and he or she can easily confirm it.SOLUTION: In the absorbent article including a surface sheet, a rear sheet and an absorber arranged between both the sheets, the absorber includes at least an upper layer absorber and a lower layer absorber, with a liquid diffusion mechanism in which liquid is diffused in a width direction arranged or formed between both the absorbers, and a projecting portion projecting outward in a width direction arranged in the absorbent article, and a label material detecting excreted liquid exists in the projecting portion in the absorbent article.
