PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resveratrol derivative which produces hydrogen gas and exerts a keratin production action and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A resveratrol derivative is a derivative in which resveratrol and thymine are bonded to each other. The resveratrol derivative acts on a gene of an epidermal cell of a skin, and increases keratin. At this time, hydrogen gas is generated. A method for producing a resveratrol derivative includes a step of performing fermentation by adding Monascus purpureus made by Beni Kouji Hompo to a fruit of Euterpe oleracea and rice bran. The obtained resveratrol derivative exerts an excellent keratin production action, and is applied as a cosmetic, a food preparation, and a medicine. In particular, when being used in the cosmetic, the resveratrol derivative is applied to a cosmetic excellent in degradation of sebum, moisture retentivity of skin and elasticity in skin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
