PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenol derivative exhibiting keratin increasing activity and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The target polyphenol derivative is a derivative formed from one molecule each of polyphenol, arginine, and adenine. This derivative enhances production of keratin by activating a keratin-synthesizing enzyme. Keratin production is derived from two mechanisms including an enzyme activation mode and enzyme induction. The production method of the derivative comprises a step of protease treatment of adding a branched cyclodextrin to a fermentation liquid obtained by fermenting placenta and soybeans by Bacillus subtilis natto. The polyphenol derivative obtained can be applied to health food and cosmetics for skin beautifying effects. In addition, it can also be used in a purified medicinal drug and quasi drug which exhibit keratin increasing activity.SELECTED DRAWING: None
