PURPOSE: An herbal beverage is provided to essentially and continuously reduce hyperglycemia without causing side effects, and to prevent the increase of blood sugar. CONSTITUTION: An herbal beverage is obtained by the following steps: mixing 100parts of phyllostachys bambusoides by weight, 70~80parts of barley sprouts by weight, 30~40parts of yacon by weight, and 20~30parts of mulberry leaves by weight； adding 10~20parts of schizandrae fructus by weight to the mixture； stirring the mixture and water inside a container； heating the mixture until the volume of the mixture reduces into 1/3~2/3； and obtaining supernate from the heated mixture by filtering.본 발명은 고혈당 완화 기능성 한방음료에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 왕대, 보리싹, 야콘 및 상엽을 열수 추출한 조성물 또는 상기 조성물을 증류하여 제조한 한방음료에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 한방음료는 천연 식물을 주성분으로 하여 부작용이 없이 고혈당을 완화시켜주는 효과가 있으며, 혈당의 상승을 억제 할 뿐 아니라 음식물 중에 들어 있는 당의 흡수를 방해함으로써, 췌장의 부담을 줄여주는 효과가 있다. 또한, 한방음료의 복용을 중단하여도 혈당량이 다시 상승하지 않는 효과가 있다.
