<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-insoluble surface-modified polymer article, which uses &epsi；-poly-L-lysine as antimicrobial agent, with the effect thereof being long-lasting without runoff by contact with water or the like. <；P>；SOLUTION: The surface-modified polymer article is obtained by immersing an article including a water-insoluble polymer in an &epsi；-poly-L-lysine aqueous solution, drawing up the article followed by drying to sufficiently adhere poly-lysine thereto, spraying water to the adhered surface of the article to wet the surface again, and then irradiating the adhered surface with radial ray to graft-bond the water-insoluble polymer with &epsi；-poly-L-lysine by graft reaction. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
