PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic apparatus by which an operation in which the increase of the operation load felt by an examiner when the vertically movable section is vertically moved is suppressed can be performed.SOLUTION: The ophthalmic apparatus includes: a vertically moving section on which an observation unit for observing the eye of a patient is mounted a vertically moving mechanism for vertically moving the vertically moving section by the manual operation of an operation member by the examiner to a base section and an urging member which urges the vertically moving section upward in order to reduce the operation load of the examiner.
