PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus and an image capturing control program which easily reduce the time after the observation of a subject begins until the capturing of an image ends.SOLUTION: An image capturing apparatus 1 comprises an optical scanner 14, a front-side observation optical system 23, and a controller 30. The controller 30 acquires preliminary data. The preliminary data is data that is generated preliminarily before image capturing operation begins. The preliminary data defines the relationship between the geometry of a subjects tissue and the scanning position of measurement light.
