PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can collect data by a high-speed spin echo method to generate a better quality of componential image data or componential suppression image data.
SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a data collection means and an image data generation means, wherein the data collection means loads a high-frequency excitation pulse to excite a magnetization spin in a photographed site and then loads repeatedly a high-frequency inversion pulse to inverse the phase of the magnetization spin, thereby to generate a plurality of echoes and then to collect a first data and a second data in accordance with the first sequence and the second sequence which are different from each other in t2, i.e. a time interval between the loaded high-frequency excitation pulse and the earliest echo (Sb1) and the image data generation means based on the first data and the second data to generate the componential image data or the componential suppression image data.
