PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of obtaining an image in which fluid and background tissues are more excellently drawn in accordance with a dynamic state of the fluid over a plurality of time phases.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to one embodiment includes a collection part and a first generation part. The collection part performs at least either data collection collecting first data of an image pickup area at prescribed time interval after applying tag pulse to fluid flowing into the image pickup area of a subject or data collection collecting second data of the image pickup area by making at least either application of the tag pulse or an application position differ.
