PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of generating an image of more excellent quality in generating the image accompanying the averaging even if a phase displacement is generated among collected data caused by the extension of the imaging period.
SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprises an imaging data collecting means for repeating first signal collection to collect a plurality of spin echo signals in the frequency corresponding to the number of target data for addition/averaging processes a template data collecting means for continuously inverting a gradient magnetic field for lead-out for one nuclear magnetic excitation and repeating second signal collection to collect template data without phase encoding in response to the first signal collection a correction means for correcting data using the quantity of correction obtained by repeating the second signal collection an averaging/adding process part for averaging and addition to data obtained from the data collected by the imaging data collecting means and an image data generating means for generating image data from the corrected data.
