PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately specify inferior channels in an ultrasonic probe.SOLUTION: In a probe evaluation mode, test signals of predetermined frequency generated by a test signal generation section 51 are fed to signal wires 35 of N channels for connecting each of vibration elements to a transceiver section 2 provided in a diagnostic apparatus body via a test signal distribution section 52 having an output impedance substantially equal to the impedance of the vibration elements incorporated in an ultrasonic probe 3. A test signal analysis section 53, receiving the test signal of the predetermined channel which a receiving section 22 selects from the test signals fed to the respective signal wires 35, from the receiving section 22, measures the amplitude of the test signal, compares the amplitude value acquired then with a standard amplitude value previously stored in own storage circuit, and determines the presence/absence of inferior portions in the channels of the ultrasonic probe 3.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】超音波プローブにおける不良チャンネルを容易かつ正確に特定する。【解決手段】プローブ評価モードにおいて試験信号発生部51が発生した所定周波数の試験信号を、超音波プローブ3に内蔵された振動素子のインピーダンスと略等しい出力インピーダンスを有する試験信号分配部52を介して前記振動素子の各々と診断装置本体1に設けられた送受信部2とを接続するNチャンネルの信号線35の各々に供給する。そして、前記信号線35の各々に供給された試験信号の中から受信部22が選択した所定チャンネルの試験信号を前記受信部22から受信した試験信号分析部53は、前記試験信号の振幅を計測し、更に、このとき得られた振幅値と予め自己の記憶回路に保管された標準振幅値とを比較することにより超音波プローブ3の当該チャンネルにおける不良箇所の有無を判定する。【選択図】図1
