PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test object information acquisition apparatus for reducing artifact when performing photoacoustic imaging, with a test object held by a holding member.SOLUTION: The test object information acquisition apparatus includes: a light source 11 that emits light a holding member 21 that holds a test object a probe 17 that receives an acoustic wave generated from the test object by an event that light is applied to the test object via the holding member 21, and outputs a receiving signal and a signal processing section 19 that acquires information in the test objet using the receiving signal.
