The present invention provides an enteric soft capsule shell formed from a gel mass composition wherein the gel mass comprises: (a) a film-forming, water soluble polymer which is gelatin； (b) an acid-insoluble polymer which is an acrylic methacrylic acid copolymer； (c) at least one plasticizer； and (c) an aqueous solvent； wherein the weight ratio range of acid-insoluble polymer to film forming polymer is from about 30% to about 40%.
