The present disclosure is related to a micro propagation process for the culture of Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni). Said method is comprised of the following steps: step 0. Selecting and applying a pre-treatment to mother plants, step 1. Preparing the aseptic culture, step 2. In vitro propagating said plants, step 3. Elongating and rooting the same, step 4. Acclimatizing said plants. In step 2, bioreactors are used that allow for the semi-automation of the micro propagation process, a higher rate of multiplication and avoid using gelling agents, which makes the micro propagation process more difficult.Esta invención hace referencia al proceso para la micropropagación del cultivo de Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni). Este proceso comprende las siguientes etapas: etapa 0. Selección y pretratamiento de plantas madre, etapa 1. Establecimiento de los cultivos asépticos, etapa 2. Multiplicación in vitro, etapa 3. Elongación y enraizamiento y etapa 4. Aclimatación. En las etapa 2 se emplean biorreactores que permiten la semiautomatización de la micropropagación, mayor tasa de multiplicación y evita el uso de agentes gelificantes, que encarece el proceso de micropropagación convencional.
