PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus capable of simply manufacturing an absorber having a high basis weight part and a low basis weight part without performing a transfer process.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an absorber includes: sucking a raw material 24 of the absorber through an air-permeable sheet 22 arranged on an air-permeable conveyor belt 16 followed by accumulating on the air-permeable sheet 22 using as the conveyor belt 16, a conveyor belt where a plurality of porous areas 18 and non-porous areas 19 are alternately arranged along a running direction R and a direction orthogonal to the direction accumulating the raw material 24 in areas corresponding to the porous areas 18 in the air-permeable sheet 22 by sucking through the porous areas 18 and accumulating part of the raw material 24 incapable of being put in the areas corresponding to the porous areas 18, in areas corresponding to the non-porous areas 19 in the air-permeable sheet 22 so as to make a difference in an accumulation quantity of the raw material 24 between the areas corresponding to the porous areas 18 and the areas corresponding to the non-porous areas 19.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】転写工程を行うことなく、高坪量部及び低坪量部を有する吸収体を容易に製造し得る方法及び装置を提供すること。【解決手段】吸収体の原料24を通気性コンベアベルト16上に配された通気性シート22を介して吸引し、該通気性シート22上に推積させる。コンベアベルト16として、走行方向R及びそれと直交する方向に沿って有孔領域18及び無孔領域19が交互に複数配置されたものを用いる。有孔領域18を通じての吸引によって、通気性シート22における有孔領域18に対応する領域に原料24を堆積させるとともに、有孔領域18に対応する領域に収まりきらなくなった原料24の一部を、通気性シート22における無孔領域19に対応する領域に堆積させて、有孔領域18に対応する領域と無孔領域19に対応する領域とで原料24の堆積量に差が生じるようにした。【選択図】図1
