PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assisting device for assisting the movement of a person, which facilitates work to attain the state in which a lift can carry the person.SOLUTION: The assisting device 100 includes a seat part 1 having a support surface 1a for supporting a care receiver A, a plurality of lifting parts 20, and a connection part 24 for connecting the seat part 1 and the lifting parts 20. The lifting parts 20 and the connection part 24 are deformable to a first arrangement and a second arrangement relative to the seat part 1, and are capable of standing by themselves in the second arrangement. The upper ends of the lifting parts 20 and the connection part 24 are at a low position and do not obstruct the posture change of the care receiver A. In the second arrangement, the lifting parts 20 are at a higher position.
