The present invention provides a photographing object distance measuring method using camera vision and a device thereof which can minimize radiation exposure. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the photographing object distance measuring method comprises: a step of emitting a light to a subject by an illumination light emitting unit having a lens with a rectangular edge； a step of photographing the subject and a rectangular image generated by the lens； and a step of calculating the length of a preset edge of the rectangular shape from the photographed image, and calculating the distance of the illumination light emitting unit and the subject in response to the calculated length.
