PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing (carbonate) calcium apatite containing strontium which provides (carbonate) calcium apatite controlled in crystallinity with high purity through a one-stage reaction and is simple and good in productivity and a method of producing a fine particle of (carbonate) calcium apatite containing strontium which is controlled in crystallinity and is suitable for coating applications.SOLUTION: A mixture containing a strontium salt and a calcium salt in an arbitrary ratio is mixed with a phosphate and a carbonate or a hydrogencarbonate in a specified molar ratio in water to react together.
