PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing (carbonate) strontium apatite which provides (carbonate) strontium apatite controlled in crystallinity with high purity through a one-state reaction and is simple and good in productivity and a method of producing a fine particle of (carbonate) strontium apatite suitable for coating applications.SOLUTION: A method of producing (carbonate) strontium apatite comprises mixing a strontium salt, a phosphate and a carbonate or a hydrogencarbonate in water, in the pH range of the reaction system of 5-13 and in a specified mol ratio, to react together.
