PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing type B apatite carbonate with high purity which is simple and good in productivity and a method of producing a fine particle of type B apatite carbonate suitable for coating applications.SOLUTION: A method of producing type B apatite carbonate comprises mixing calcium hydrogenphosphate dihydrate with 0.2 molar ratio or more of a carbonate or 0.4 molar ratio or more of a hydrogencarbonate in water to react together.
