PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire able to securely bend a curved portion easily.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 is constituted of a flexible, long body. The guide wire 1 comprises: a wire body 2 with a curved portion 25, which is naturally curved in one direction without external force exerted thereto and an imaging marker 3 set for the insertion of the curved portion 25 therein and composed of a tubular body shorter than the length L2 of the curved portion 25. The imaging marker 3 has a slit 31 formed through its tubular wall in the thickness direction, and along the center axial direction.
