PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter with a new structure, by which a balloon can be positioned in a circumferential direction with respect to body tubular tissue and inflated so as to be bent in a suitable direction conforming to the bending direction of the body tubular tissue.SOLUTION: In the balloon catheter 10, a balloon 30 is attached in an externally inserted state to the distal end side of a catheter body 12 and a supply/drain passage 28 for supplying/sucking pressure fluid to/from the balloon 30 from the proximal end of the catheter body 12 is formed. A bent part 34 bent in the longitudinal direction by supplying pressure fluid via the supply/drain passage 28 and inflated is provided to the balloon 30, contrast markers 36 are provided to both end parts in the longitudinal direction and a part where the bent part 34 is externally inserted, respectively, in the part where the balloon 30 is externally inserted in the catheter body 12, and contrast shapes of the contrast markers 36 are varied in the circumferential direction.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーンを体内管状組織に対して周方向に位置決めして、体内管状組織の湾曲方向に則した適切な方向で湾曲するように膨らませることが出来る、新規な構造のバルーンカテーテルを提供すること。【解決手段】カテーテル本体12の遠位端側にバルーン30が外挿状態で取り付けられていると共に、カテーテル本体12の近位端側からバルーン30に対して圧力流体を供給及び吸引する給排路28が形成されているバルーンカテーテル10において、バルーン30には、給排路28を通じての圧力流体の供給によって長さ方向で湾曲して膨らむ湾曲部34が設けられており、カテーテル本体12におけるバルーン30が外挿された部分には、長さ方向の両端部分と湾曲部34が外挿された部分とにそれぞれ造影マーカー36が設けられていると共に、造影マーカー36の造影形状が周方向に変化している。【選択図】図1
