PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curving operation device of an insertion instrument which is easily and excellently operated.
SOLUTION: The curving operation device includes: a fixing member arranged in the operation part of the insertion instrument an operation rod member supported so as to move in a tilt state with respect to the fixing member via a joint part at least a pair of bending operation wires which are arranged in the circumference of the joint part and connected to the operation rod member thereby to bend a bending part by being pulled in one wire and being loosened in the other wire with the forward/backward tilt of the operation rod member and an angle control member which is supported so as to be position-adjustable in an approaching/separating direction to/from the operation rod member with respect to the fixing member, is abutted onto the operation rod member so as to restrict tilting, and changes the maximum tilting angle of the operation rod member by the position change.
