The present application relates to an immunogenic composition comprising a fragment of a staphylococcal lsd protein such as IsdA, IsdB, IsdC or IsdH which comprises a NEAT domain. Fusion proteins comprising a NEAT domain of a first staphylococcal lsd protein and a NEAT domain from a second lsd protein are also disclosed as well as fusion proteins comprising a NEAT domain of a staphylococcal lsd protein involved in an iron/heme uptake system and a ligand binding domain of a staphylococcal extracellular component binding protein, for example CIfA, CIfB, SdrC, SdrD or SdrE.
