PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a change in the total length of an optical system caused by a temperature change.
SOLUTION: An ophthalmic photographing apparatus having an interference optical system for obtaining interference light using luminous flux of low coherence length and dividing it into frequency components to allow a photodetector to detect the frequency components and obtaining a tomographic image of the eye of an examinee includes a first base stand having an optical fiber for guiding interference light and a mirror for injecting the interference light emitted from the fiber to the photodetector in the direction opposite to the advance direction of the interference light and fixing and holding the emitting end of the fiber, a second base stand for fixing and holding the mirror and the optical member on a light path through which the interference light after bending passes and made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion different from that of the first stand, and fixing and holding means for fixing and holding the first and second base stands so as to permit both the distances from the emitting ends formed on both base stands to the mirror and the distance from the mirror to the photodetector to change due to the thermal expansion of both base stands.
