PURPOSE: A natural anesthetic composition containing Styrax japonicus Siebold & Zucc extract is provided to replace expensive anesthetic agent with natural plant and to save the cost for manufacturing the anesthetic agent. CONSTITUTION: An anesthetic composition for fishes contains Styrax japonicus Siebold & Zucc fruit extract as an active ingredient. A method for manufacturing the composition comprises: a step of washing Styrax japonicus Siebold & Zucc fruits； a step of mixing 0.5-2kg of the fruits and 1 L of water in an extractor； and a step of heating the extractor at 112-116 Deg.C. and 60-80 kpa for 1-3 hours. The other method for manufacturing the composition comprises: a step of washing the fruits； a step of mixing 0.5-5 kg of fruits and 1L of water in a mixer and pulverizing； and a step of filtering the pulverized materials.어류용 마취제로 시중에 유통되고 있는 산업용 화학성분을 주원료로 한 어류용 마취제를 우리 나라의 남쪽 지방의 산이나 길가의 언덕 부근에서 흔하게 볼 수 있는 식물인 때죽나무 열매 추출물을 유효성분으로 한 천연마취제 조성물로 이용하기 위한 것으로 때죽나무 열매를 압력식 추출기와 분쇄형 믹서기를 이용하여 물과 혼합하여 추출물을 추출하여, 추출된 때죽나무 열매 추출물을 농도별로 양식 수조에 투여하여 어류의 마취상태와 회복되는 시간을 측정한 실험결과로부터 때죽나무 열매 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 어류 마취용 조성물이 제공된다. 본 발명에 따른 식물열매를 이용한 친환경 천연마취제는 수산물의 안전성 확보 및 고단가의 마취제를 자연에 서식하는 식물로 대체함으로 마취제 생산단가 절감과 산업화를 통한 수입대체 및 수출효과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.
