PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform pre-washing of tea leaves especially covered with volcanic ash while very efficiently supplying the same.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a net conveyor 1 provided with a plurality of feed stop pieces 15 at predetermined spaces and installed with a gradient and an inlet hopper 31 which can feed the tea leaves t from a lower part of the net conveyer 1. A spray nozzle 5 for spraying the tea leaves t and a spray internal nozzle 6 for spraying from the inside of an endless mesh belt 11 at the upper end of the net conveyor 1 toward the outside are provided on the upside position of the inlet hopper 31.
