According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a method for estimating a lesion occurrence time includes: an interest region selection step of selecting an interest region corresponding to a lesion position of a subject from brain image data of the subject； a symmetric region selection step of selecting a symmetric region which is symmetric with the interest region； an asymmetry calculation step of calculating asymmetry data by voxels of the interest region by using the interest region and the symmetric region； an input step of inputting input data into an estimation model for estimating an occurrence time of the lesion after obtaining the input data from the asymmetry data by voxels； and an output step of outputting information about the occurrence time of the lesion based on an output value of the estimation model. The estimation model is an input-output function displaying a correlation between input data for learning obtained from brain image data of a plurality of data providers and a lesion occurrence time. According to the present invention, it is possible to rapidly know a lesion occurrence time within a few minutes to quickly determine a treatment method for a subject.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 병변 발생 시점 추정 방법은, 대상자의 뇌 영상 데이터로부터 상기 대상자의 병변 위치에 대응하는 관심 영역을 선택하는 관심 영역 선택 단계, 상기 관심 영역과 대칭인 대칭 영역을 선택하는 대칭 영역 선택 단계, 상기 관심 영역과 상기 대칭 영역을 이용하여 상기 관심 영역의 복셀(voxel) 별 비대칭도 데이터를 산출하는 비대칭도 산출 단계, 상기 복셀 별 비대칭도 데이터로부터 입력 데이터를 획득한 후, 상기 병변의 발생 시점을 추정하기 위한 추정 모델에 입력하는 입력 단계 및 상기 추정 모델의 출력값을 기초로, 상기 병변의 발생 시점에 관한 정보를 출력하는 출력 단계를 포함한다. 이때 상기 추정 모델은, 복수 명의 데이터 제공자의 뇌 영상 데이터로부터 얻은 학습용 입력 데이터와 병변 발생 시점의 상관관계를 표현하는 입출력함수이다.
