PURPOSE: To improve operation efficiency by increasing the seedling raising box transporting speed of a conveyor without causing deterioration of seeding accuracy. CONSTITUTION: This seeding machine is provided with a seeding mechanisms A for sowing seeds on a seedling raising box 2 transported at a speed V and a seed laterally moving means for providing the seeds dropped and fed from the seeding mechanism with a moving component in the transportation direction of the conveyor 1. A chain 14 driven in a speed va parallel with the conveyor 1 is equipped with the five seeding mechanisms A. A time required for moving in a space between the adjoining seeding mechanisms A is made equal to a time required for moving in a space between adjoining seedling raising boxes 2 (d÷va=W÷V).
