PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that the accurate insertion of a seedling into the central part of each nursery pot is difficult and the operating efficiency is low because the raising of the seedling in a seedling field and raising of the seedling in a seedling box are alternately repeated plural times to increase plant stocks by tillering during cultivation of a rush, the seedling is made to tiller to about 20 times based on the original parent plant and then transplanted to a field in an adequate period, and all the operations to transplant divided seedling stocks by one plant stock to each nursery pot of the seedling box are conventionally performed by a hand in a process for cultivating the rush; however, the small nursery pots in the seedling box as a nursery bed are densely arranged nearly without gaps, a seedling inserting machine capable of accurately and efficiently performing seedling inserting operations is thereby eagerly waited and the seedling inserting machine of a compact and reasonable constitution as much as possible is desirable. SOLUTION: This seedling inserting machine is obtained by installing a seedling feeder 2 long in one lateral side of a seedling inserting device 4 in the seedling inserting machine equipped with the seedling inserting device 4 for taking out the seedling from the seedling feeder 2 and inserting the seedling into the nursery bed.
