PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a plurality of irradiation methods using one irradiation nozzle in a particle therapy system which irradiates an object with charged particle beams such as proton and carbon ion.SOLUTION: The particle therapy system is provided with: a beam generator 25 an irradiation field forming apparatus 18 which is disposed in a therapy room and forms an irradiation field of the charged particle beams and a beam transporting apparatus 22 which transports the charged particle beams emitted from the beam generator 25, to the irradiation field forming apparatus 18. The irradiation field forming apparatus 18 is provided with: a first irradiation part 17a having a gas chamber and a second irradiation part 17b having a scatterer which adjusts the scattered amount of the charged particle beams.
