PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a stem cutter cut the upper part and middle part of stems of crops as precedent and cut the lower part later.SOLUTION: The stem cutter includes a lower cutting mechanism 5 cutting the lower part of the stem S1 of root vegetable crops S by rotating a lower rotary blade 4, an upper cutting mechanism 7 cutting the upper part of the stem S1 by rotating an upper rotary blade 6 in the same direction to the lower rotary blade 4, and a driving mechanism 9 driving the upper and lower cutting mechanisms 5, 7 by a power from a motor 8 in a frame 3 attached to a traveling machine body 2. A transmitting-supporting body 17 is protruded forward in the advancing direction of the traveling machine body 2 from the frame 3. Upper transmitting means 16 vertically penetrating and supporting an upper rotary shaft 14 and also transmitting the power from the motor 8 to the upper rotary shaft 14 is supported by the transmitting-supporting body 17. At the upper part of the upper rotary shaft 14, the upper rotary blade 6 is attached, a middle rotary blade 10 for cutting the middle part of the stem S1 is attached at the lower part, and the upper rotary blade 6 and middle rotary blade 10 are arranged at the frontal upper part of the lower rotary blade 4 of the lower cutting mechanism 5.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 作物の茎の上部及び中間部を先行して切断し、下部を後行して切断できるようにする。【解決手段】 移動機体2に装着されたフレーム3に、下回転刃4を回転して根菜作物Sの茎S1の下部を切断する下切断機構5と、上回転刃6を下回転刃4と同方向に回転して茎S1の上部を切断する上切断機構7と、原動機8からの動力で上下切断機構5、7を駆動する駆動機構9とを備える。前記フレーム3から移動機体2進行方向前方へ伝動支持体17を突出し、この伝動支持体17に上回転軸14を上下に貫通して支持するとともに原動機8からの動力を上回転軸14に伝達する上伝動手段16を支持する。上回転軸14の上部に前記上回転刃6を設けかつ下部に茎S1の中間部を切断する中間回転刃10を設け、上回転刃6及び中間回転刃10を下切断機構5の下回転刃4の前上方に配置する。【選択図】図1
